A limited edition offers the opportunity to own a reproduction of a Kate Silverwood artwork within a clearly defined print run. Each edition has a fixed limit for its stated size, giving collectors clarity about how many prints may be produced.
A fixed number per size
The maximum number of prints in each edition is set before it is offered for sale and stated on the product listing. This limit will not be increased once the edition has launched.
Prints may be produced in smaller batches as orders are placed. The edition limit refers to the total number available across the entire print run, rather than the number printed at any one time.
When an edition is complete
Once the full edition has been issued, it is permanently closed. No additional prints of that artwork will be produced in the same size, and the edition will not be restarted or reissued under a different edition name.
If an edition sells out, its closure remains permanent regardless of future demand.
Different sizes are separate editions
The same artwork may be offered in more than one print size. Each size forms a separate limited edition, with its own fixed maximum quantity stated on the relevant product listing.
For example, an artwork offered as an edition of 50 in one size and an edition of 25 in another may have up to 75 limited-edition prints across those two sizes.
An edition limit therefore applies to the specific size purchased, rather than to all reproductions of the artwork.
What the edition limit covers
The limit applies to the artwork’s stated print dimensions. Choosing a different frame or mount does not create a new edition or increase the number of prints available in that size.
Images of the artwork may continue to appear on this website, on social media and in exhibition or promotional materials after an edition has closed. These images do not form part of the collectible print edition.
Clear information before purchase
Please check the individual product listing for the print dimensions, edition quantity, materials and any signing, numbering or certification details. These features will be described for the particular edition and should not be assumed to apply to every print.
Prints and original paintings
Limited-edition prints are reproductions of an artwork. They are separate from the original painting, which may be available to purchase independently. Purchasing a print does not transfer copyright or reproduction rights.
Your consumer rights
Limited-edition status does not, by itself, make a print non-returnable or remove your statutory rights. Please refer to our Returns & Cancellation Policy for details.
